It combines Revenue, Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), Operating Expenses, Taxes & Interest to estimate Net Profit Margin, Gross Profit, Gross Margin.

Formula & Method

Core equations: Three levels of margin are calculated: Gross Margin=R−COGSR×100\text{Gross Margin} = \frac{R - COGS}{R} \times 100 Operating Margin=R−COGS−OpExR×100\text{Operating Margin} = \frac{R - COGS - OpEx}{R} \times 100 Net Margin=R−COGS−OpEx−TR×100\text{Net Margin} = \frac{R - COGS - OpEx - T}{R} \times 100 where RR is revenue, COGSCOGS is cost of goods sold, OpExOpEx is operating expenses, and TT is taxes and interest. Inputs are applied in base units, then derived metrics are computed from the same equations and rounded for display.

Notation used in the formulas: RR = Net Profit Margin; x1x_{1} = Revenue; x2x_{2} = Cost of Goods Sold (COGS); x3x_{3} = Operating Expenses; x4x_{4} = Taxes \& Interest.
